Firdous Ahmad Chaila

Logistics Director

Firdous Ahmad Chaila is the Director Operations Ski and Snowboarding X ADVENTURE Kashmir, India. As the first snowboarder from Kashmir, Firdous has played a crucial role in introducing and popularizing snowboarding in the region. He has participated in three national-level ski championships and two national-level snowboarding championships, demonstrating his skill and passion for both sports.

In addition to his achievements in snow sports, Firdous has a strong background in mountaineering. He trained at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering in Manali and has successfully climbed several challenging peaks, including Mount Hunman Tiba (5,950 m) in Himachal Pradesh and Mount Stok Kangri (6,153 m) in Ladakh, the latter of which he also snowboarded down.

Firdous has extensive experience as an instructor, having worked with the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering, Youth Services and Sports Kashmir, and Tyndale Biscoe School in Srinagar. His dedication to teaching and promoting winter sports has made him a key figure in the development of skiing and snowboarding in Kashmir.

Outside of adventure sports, Firdous has a deep interest in photography, environmental protection, and preserving cultural heritage. His love for capturing the natural beauty of Kashmir and his commitment to sustainable tourism reflect his desire to protect the region’s environment. Firdous’s work and passion continue to inspire others to embrace adventure sports while respecting nature and cultural traditions.

Ahsan Ul Haq banday

Event Director

Ahsan ul Haq Banday is a prominent adventure sports professional, recognized for his leadership and contributions to outdoor sports in India. As the Director of X Adventure and Head of White Water Operations at J&K, he plays a key role in organizing and managing major adventure sports events. A skilled skier and snowboarder, Banday has represented both his state and country in various national and international Skiing and Snowboarding Championships, showcasing his competitive edge and technical proficiency.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Banday has been a central figure in the development of white-water rafting in Jammu and Kashmir. Serving as the General Secretary and an active member of the Indian Rafting Foundation, he has organized a wide range of national and international rafting events, helping to elevate the sport’s profile across India. His leadership was further demonstrated in 2017 when he successfully organized an adventure race in collaboration with the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS).

Outside of adventure sports, Banday is deeply committed to causes such as travel, youth development, environmental protection, and afforestation. He works passionately to promote sustainability and create a lasting positive impact on both local communities and the environment. Nawab Mozam Khan

Techinicial Director

Nawab Moazam Khan, born in Srinagar, is an entrepreneur and adventure enthusiast. He completed his schooling at Tyndale Biscoe School and earned a Master’s degree in Travel and Tourism Management from Kashmir University. He is the founder of Highland Odysseys, an adventure travel company that offers unique outdoor experiences in the region.

Khan is an active member of the Jammu and Kashmir Mountaineering and Adventure Club and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. He excels in a variety of sports, including mountaineering, trekking, trail running, cycling, triathlons, skiing, long-distance swimming, and scuba diving.

In addition to his professional and athletic pursuits, Khan has a keen interest in environmental protection and a deep appreciation for Urdu poetry and Ghazals. His love for nature drives his efforts to promote sustainable adventure travel.

He will serve as the Technical Director for the X Kashmir Race 2025, where he will use his expertise to enhance the event. Through his business and personal passions, Khan continues to inspire others to embrace outdoor adventures while fostering a connection with nature.
